How do you answer your own phone, manage "non-MD" tasks and see patients all at the same time?

When you call my office, an automated system will answer giving you options to speak with me immediately in an emergency (or within 15 minutes if I can't pick up the phone immediately), leave a message, or check to see if I'm available to answer the phone. If I'm with patient or not in the office, you will be asked to leave a message and I will return your call. For non-urgent messages left between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, I am generally able to return your call within 4 hours.

I also use an an online appointment scheduling system and an electronic medical record and practice management system. These systems make appointment scheduling, referral processing, prescription refills, insurance billing, etc. much easier and less time-consuming. These systems are the primary reasons I do not need a full-time scheduling and billing coordinators.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

I accept Premera Blue Cross, Regence Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, First Choice, Cigna, Uniform Medical Plan, Pacificare, Secure Horizons, Medicare and several other plans. Please contact me at 425-458-4895 if your insurance isn't among those listed above.
